Badger Boys State will be held June 8th through June 15th in Ripon and Badger Girls State will be held June 16th through June 21st in Oshkosh.  This is a government and leadership conference designed to educate on the functions of government and to develop leadership skills.  This activity is open to Juniors only.  If you would like to learn more visit the Boys website, www.badgerboysstate.com or the Girls website, www.badgergirlsstate.org.  Memorial staff will be nominating juniors they feel are good candidates this week.  If you would like to nominate yourself to represent Memorial High School stop by Mr. Hendrickson’s office to complete a nomination form no later than February 8th.  Only two girls and two boys will be selected to represent Memorial.

A second semester reminder to all juniors and seniors!  If you would like to sign out of a study hall first, fourth, fifth or seventh hour be sure to complete the release form.  Forms are available in all the neighborhood offices.

The Midwinter Formal Dance, ‘Glow in the Dark’, will be held Saturday from 8:00 to 11:00 pm. in the Main Gym.    This is the final day to purchase your tickets during lunch.  Cost per ticket is $5.00.   As always, you must have a student ID to enter the dance.

If you are looking for something unique to give to your sweetheart, friend, or JMM staff member for Valentine’s Day, singing Valentines will be sold in the cafeteria during lunch today through Monday.  There are a variety of songs to choose from and all proceeds will benefit Memorial’s vocal department.  Singing Valentines are $5.00 and you can have a rose delivered with your song for an additional $3.00.

The Art Department is proud to host an evening reception tonight at 6:30 to celebrate the Student Art Show.  Refreshments will be served along with a lot of exciting things to see.

Attention all Equestrian Club members and all horseback riders!  Equestrian Club will meet today in Room 862 during lunch to discuss the possibility of creating a Memorial Equestrian Team.  Grab lunch and bring it to Room 862 if you are interested in this exciting opportunity.

Attention Seniors!  A Financial Aid Advisor from Edgewood College will be at JMM today at 5:00 pm in the Library to help those who have not completed the FAFSA form.  See Mr. Vang if you have questions.

MSCR Ski and Snowboarding Club field trip is this Friday, after school.  Permission slips are in the Welcome Center.

The AP test registration window is now open.  Registration deadline is Friday, March 1st.  Please register through your My Payments Plus account.  Additional information can be found at mmsd.org/ap.

The Interact Club will meet in the Literacy Center at lunch today.    New members are very welcome!

If you would like to donate to the Leukemia and Lymphomia Society, bring your spare change tonight to the Boys Basketball game.  You can donate money, purchase a wristband and compete against Verona to see which ‘team’ raises the most funds.  Game On!
