Spartan Youth Service, Memorial’s largest volunteer service club, invites you to join them this Wednesday in the Wisconsin Study Center immediately after school.  It is a great opportunity to meet new people, earn volunteer hours, and help out your community.  Can’t make it on Wednesday?  You can join SYS any time during the year!


Spartan News meets Wednesday’s during lunch in Room 521.  Students who are interested in video art, video production or journalism should consider attending.  See Mr. Frontier if you have questions.


The Fall Speed and Strength meets on Tuesday’s, Wednesday’s and Thursday’s after school in the lower weight room.  If you are not out for a fall sport and would like to participate be sure to stop in.


Students who are interested in working at the polls on Election Day should see Mr. Olson in Room 851.  The City of Madison is looking for responsible 16, 17 and 18 year olds to get hands on experience with the democratic process.  You would also earn $13.00 an hour for working the election!


Mock Trial Club is now forming teams.  Information and applications are available from Ms. Burda in Room 853.  The Club meetings begin in October.


The Astronomy Club is open to anyone interested in Astronomy and Space Exploration.  The club meets today and every Tuesday during lunch in Room 500.


If you like interesting and current books about contemporary topics, want to increase your awareness of the world around you, enjoy discussing books and meeting new people from a variety of backgrounds then you need to join the Social Justice Book Club.  The first meeting is Friday at 7:30 am in Room 815.  See Ms. Mitchell if you have questions.


The JMM softball team is hosting a Culver’s share night at the Mineral Point Road location today from 4:00 to 8:00 pm … hope to see you there!


All girls interested in playing basketball this will should attend the mandatory meeting this Wednesday in the Fox Study Center at 6:00 pm.  Please contact Coach Flowers with any questions.


If you wish that you were funny, you can be!  Join the Improv Club during lunch this Thursday in Room 651.  You will be funny in no time.


The first meeting for Drama, Debate and Forensics is being held today after school in Theater 300.  Anyone interested in learning more about DDAF is welcome.  For those unavailable today there will be a makeup meeting on Wednesday during lunch in Room 851.


Latinos Unidos will host its first meeting of the year in the Rock Study Center during lunch on Thursday.  See Ms. Barrientos if you have questions.
