Spartan Youth Service, Memorial’s largest volunteer service club, invites you to join them today in the Wisconsin Study Center immediately after school.  It is a great opportunity to meet new people, earn volunteer hours, and help out your community. 


Spartan News is hosting their first meeting of the year today during lunch in Room 521.  Students who are interested in video art, video production or journalism should consider attending. 


Students who are interested in working at the polls on Election Day should see Mr. Olson in Room 851.  The City of Madison is looking for responsible 16, 17 and 18 year olds to get hands on experience with the democratic process.  You would also earn $13.00 an hour for working the election!


Mock Trial Club is now forming teams.  Information and applications are available from Ms. Burda in Room 853.  The Club meetings begin in October.


If you like interesting and current books about contemporary topics, want to increase your awareness of the world around you, enjoy discussing books and meeting new people from a variety of backgrounds then you need to join the Social Justice Book Club.  The first meeting is Friday at 7:30 am in Room 815.  See Ms. Mitchell if you have questions.


All girls interested in playing basketball this winter should attend the mandatory meeting today in the Fox Study Center at 6:00 pm.  Please contact Coach Flowers with any questions.


If you long for purpose and meaning in life, join the Improv! Club.  The first meeting is tomorrow during lunch in Room 651.


A reminder for those interested in Drama, Debate and Forensics, otherwise known as DDAF, a makeup meeting will be held during lunch today in Room 851.


Latinos Unidos will host its first meeting of the year in the Rock Study Center during lunch today.

Superhero Club will host is first meeting today in Room 815 immediately after school.


A new show is in town!  Visit the JMM art gallery for images of many summer travels.  Pop in, check it out.


Cheer Team tryouts will be held September 17th through the 20th at 4:00 pm in the upper gym.  You must attend all days of tryouts; be sure to wear a t-shirt, shorts and athletic shoes.


If you are interested in going into business, then FBLA is the club for you.  FBLA, known as Future Business Leaders of America, is a student run organization at our school that offers everything from accounting to social medical campaign to cyber security.  The first meeting is today in Room 514 at the beginning of lunch.


All softball players who plan on trying out for softball this spring should attend an informational meeting this Friday during lunch in Room 414.  If you are unable to attend please see coach Peters.


The following colleges will be represented in Student Service this week:  On Thursday at 10:30 Cardinal Stritch and at 1:00 pm Paul Mitchell.  Case Western Reserve will be represented on Friday at 10:30 am.
