Dear Memorial Community,

Dear Memorial Community,
Happy May Day! This is such a busy month of classes, plays, concerts, athletic competitions, ceremonies and celebrations, as we work our way towards graduation.  I'd encourage you to come out and experience these events that truly bring our school community to life.

I'm so excited to announce that for the second time in three years Memorial has been named Wisconsin's ACT College and Career Transition Exemplar High School.  This award is a result of the hard work of all staff and students over the years, consistently identifying what can be done differently to improve outcomes for our students. Please help me congratulate the Memorial students and staff.   Thank you as well, for all of your support and for all that you do as families to support your students.

Thank you for your support for and involvement in our first ever All School Read of All American Boys.  It was such a powerful month of discussions and events, culminating with the authors' visit last Monday and our Community Potluck this past Friday. As a school community, we came together to talk through some critical issues, and I couldn't be more proud.

We continue to add to another impressive spring of accomplishments with another State Math championship, and our FBLA Team finished 5th at State with a number of National Qualifiers. Congrats as well to our BadgerBOTS Robotics Team, which just competed at the World Championships in St Louis this past weekend.
Lastly, we're all looking forward to Prom this weekend from 8:30-11:30pm at the Alliant Energy Center, and thank you again to our Spartans Committed group for hosting Post-Prom at Vitense Golfland, from 11:30pm-2am. Post-Prom is free for all who attend the dance.  Please encourage your students to attend this fun and safe way for our Spartans to wrap up their prom experience.
We are JMM.
